I remember very vividly going there when I was about 11 or 12 years old, and my parents have a picture of all of us kids on that same sidewalk that you have in the second picture. I think the biggest thing I remember was squashing grasshoppers that jumped onto the pavement, but then again, kids find that sort of thing very fascinating ;-). I'm glad you got to visit that park!
