David’s birthday present . . .
Some know that David is cautious around spiders . . . The black widows we
had in our garage in San Diego were a bit off-putting to all of us, but most
of all to him.
Last night God gave him a doozy of a gift - a great big hairy tarantula
right in our house. He was just as big as the ones you’ve seen in zoos or
pet stores and had a triangular body and big beady eyes, making him a
little more sinister.
David gished him with a shoe - go DAVID!!
You gotta wonder what happens if one of those bites you. Just another
reason we sleep with a net - and don’t walk in dark rooms . . .

Oh my heck!
And just as I was thinking it might not be too bad … making food from scratch…..planning for food…..eating what you had…. like our forefathers did on a routine basis….. then you had to go and mention a Tarantula!!!*&^%$#!!! That did it for me……I don’t think I could ever sleep again……. You are my hero!

I could handle frogs… but not that. Eugh. I had a friend in high school who had a pet tarantula, and I couldn’t even handle looking at it in the cage… having it in your house is SO MUCH worse. I hope you don’t see any more of those crawling around…

Gee David, somehow that just doesn’t sound as awful as it might have a few months ago!!
You know we were all thinking about you all on your birthday. Glad you made a day of it. Take care and God bless!
