Going “home”
Well as of today, we are confirmed for departure to Uganda on Monday night, December 31st. Three days away!!
I feel relieved, anxious, excited, sad, frantic, at peace, hopeful, fearful, and altogether both more ready than I’ve ever been and also more aware that I will never, EVER be ready for this crosscontinental life change.
Pray for us all to have peace that passes understanding, time and organization for all the final details of goodbyes, shopping, packing, appointments.
This hasn’t gotten much less scary than it was the last time around.

Prayers from the Rodgers’ family will be with you! Happy New Year! Love, Tim, Jennifer, Sadie and Brentlea!
I just happened to come across your blog this evening and I wanted to say that your family will be in my prayers. My sister is actually returning to the states from Uganda on the same day you are leaving. This was her 2nd time there. She was helping run a 2 wk bible camp. She is planning her 3rd trip for next summer.
Good luck and God Bless!!
What a privilege to still be “with you” and praying as you go. I know God will continue doing beautiful things in you and through you.
I am reminded that the CIT folks said transition is a challenge, whichever way you are going, no matter how many times you cross cultural boundaries. So, you are completely normal!!
It will be good to see you home.
All my prayers will be with you and the family. I was very happy to have had the opportunity to meet you at the dinner party. The children looked wonderful. Have a safe trip, and keep spreading the wonderful faith. It is always good to go home!
